NOTICE of DuPONT CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING
WATER SYSTEM PLAN UPDATE
The DuPont City Council will conduct a Public Hearing at its regular meeting on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 on or after 7:00 pm, at DuPont City Hall in the Council Chambers, 1700 Civic Drive, DuPont, WA 98327 regarding the proposed update to the DuPont Water System Plan.
The public hearing will include information of projected water system demands, anticipated capital improvements, utility finances, and updated water use efficiency goals. All persons are invited to attend and provide oral and written testimony regarding the draft Water System Plan update or submit written comments prior to the hearing to the City Clerk’s Office, or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. A copy of the draft Water System is available for review at the City of DuPont website: http://www.dupontwa.gov/238/Water-System-Plan. City of DuPont Notice of Council Quorum
A quorum of the DuPont City Council may be in attendance at the AWC Elected Officials Essentials event on Saturday, December 7, 2019, 8:00 am - 2:30 pm at Association of WA Cities Office, 1076 Franklin Street SE, Olympia, WA 98501.
The City is seeking interested residents for appointments to the City's Planning Commission. Eligible applicants must be residents of the City of DuPont. CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
The purpose of the Civil Service Commission is to implement, administer, and direct a civil service system that is consistent with state laws for sworn personnel of the DuPont Police Department and uniformed personnel of the DuPont Fire Department. The commission provides sworn police and uniformed fire employees with a quasi-judicial process for hearings on appeals concerning disciplinary actions, examination and testing, and other related issues.
Pursuant to RCW 41.12.030 and RCW 41.08.030, each member must be a resident of the City of DuPont for at least three (3) years immediately preceding City Council appointment and a registered voter in Pierce County. At the time of any appointment, not more than two commissioners shall be adherents of the same political party. The term of office is six (6) years.
LODGING TAX ADVISORY COMMITTEE (LTAC)
The City is seeking interested individuals for appointment to the City's Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC). The LTAC was established for the purpose of recommending to the City Council on how to use the City lodging tax revenue for tourism promotion or tourism facility purposes. By state law, at least two members are representatives of businesses required to collect the tax, two members are persons involved in activities authorized to be funded by the tax, and one member is an elected official of the City. PARKS & RECREATION AGENCY
The City is seeking interested residents for appointments to the City's volunteer Parks & Recreation Agency. Eligible applicants must be residents of the City of DuPont for a minimum of one year.
