How do I determine the status of my application?
After you apply for a position, you will be notified by the Human Resources Department, either through a phone call or letter, if you have been selected to proceed to the next step of the hiring process.
Does the City accept drop-in applications?
The City only accepts resumes and applications for open positions.
If I've applied for a position and another job I am interested in becomes available, will the City use the application I have already turned in?
You will need to complete an application packet (PDF) for each position you are interested in and return the completed materials by the position's closing date.
How can I find out which jobs are currently open?
All current job openings are posted on the City website under the Job Opportunities page and during normal business hours at DuPont City Hall, 1700 Civic Drive, DuPont, WA 98327.
What if I do not have access to the internet or do not have a computer?
If you do not have internet access, you may visit your local library or any Worksource location and use their computers free of charge.
Where can I get a copy of the City Employment Application?
Each current open position has an attached official City Employment Application packet. You may also send a business sized, self addressed, stamped envelope along with a written request for an application to: City of DuPont Human Resources Department, 1700 Civic Drive, DuPont, WA 98327.
Is it possible to submit an application online?
Currently the City accepts application materials through mail, fax, or by submitting it in person to the Human Resources Department by the closing date listed on the job posting. If you fax in an application or resume, please follow-up with an original in order that we may have your original signature on the application release forms.
