City of DuPont Assistant Chief of Police Ted Jackson has announced his resignation effective April 15th, 2019. Assistant Chief Jackson was instrumental in supporting the successful transition of a new police administration and department leadership. He was officially sworn in on June 16th, 2017.
Assistant Chief Jackson was a significant aid in the department receiving grants, spearheaded and provided training opportunities, played a critical role in the train derailment, and lead event safety in particular 4th of July, National Night, and Hudson’s Bay Heritage Days.
“We are grateful for his service and for the contributions he has made to our City. He has been a steadfast public servant for over 30 years in various agencies and I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.” said Mayor Michael Courts.
Upon his departure from DuPont, Assistant Chief Jackson is looking forward to spending more time with his family and future opportunities. The DuPont Police Department is currently undertaking efforts to recruit his replacement.
