City Administrator's Office

The City Administrator's office is a link between the Mayor, City Council, staff and citizens. Providing support to the Mayor and the legislative body is a central responsibility. The Mayor delegates to the City Administrator, as Chief Administrative Officer, responsibility for the management of the day to day operations. Translating the direction of the Mayor and the policy actions of the City Council into necessary action at the organizational level is a key duty. A high priority is the active recruitment and retention of excellent talent to serve the citizens of DuPont.

Representation of City positions and interests at regional forums, committees, and work groups is an activity which helps build bridges and relationships with other cities and counties in the region. The scarcity of financial resources has made increased emphasis on regional problem solving a critical method of staying ahead of service level demands.
