CITY COUNCIL VACANCY

As Michael Grayum took the oath of office for Mayor, his seat was vacated on the DuPont City Council. This is a highly responsible legislative position for a municipal corporation with a budget in excess of 10 million dollars.

 

Eligible citizens must be registered voters in Dupont and have been a resident for at least one year. Councilmembers receive compensation in the amount of $375.00 per month.

 

If you have an interest in serving your community, please submit an application and a letter of interest, touching on: 1) applicable experience; 2) philosophy on a Councilmembers role; and 3) your thoughts on the most significant issues facing the City in the short and long term. An application packet is available at DuPont City Hall, 1700 Civic Drive. or on our website at www.ci.dupont.wa.us.

 

The application and letter of interest must be submitted in person or by U.S. mail (e-mails and postmarks not accepted) to: City of DuPont, Council Vacancy, Attn: Erin Larsen, City Clerk, 1700 Civic Drive, Dupont WA. 98327, by Friday, February 10; at 4:00 p.m.

 

Interviews will be scheduled on February 15th and 16th at 6pm after all applications have been received.
