Finance Director 

The City of DuPont seeks a talented finance professional to lead the Finance Department and oversee the City's financial operations. This position will work with the leadership team to develop and implement  performance measures and management programs. The individual selected will be a hands-on Finance Director with extensive local government experience in finance management, accounting, fiscal reporting and control, budget development and monitoring, development of financial policies, the implementation of sound financial practices and an understanding of municipal taxation and revenue sources.

AmeriCorp Program


City of DuPont Fire Department- AmeriCorp Program Position The AmeriCorps program staff member will manage the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and disaster preparedness. The AmeriCorps member supports the following programs that address poverty: food drives, coat drives, blanket drives, smoke detector programs, and the spring and fall safety fair that connects citizens to disaster services and assistance. This position supports the DuPont Fire Department with tasks such as a department newsletter and recruiting CERT members. The member would also support the "map your neighborhood" program that addresses needs in case of a disaster. Police Department

Lateral Police Officer


The City of DuPont is currently establishing a list for Lateral Police Officers. This position is a full-time non-exempt position with a total compensation of $28.21 per hour plus excellent benefits. To qualify the candidates must meet the following requirements: must be a U.S. citizen; must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a police officer and have worked as such at least 24 months within the last 36 months serving in a City, County, or State police agency in Washington and must have graduated from a state sanctioned police academy. To apply, candidates must complete a City of DuPont application and must indicate a detailed summary of police positions held and duties/assignments. A driver's abstract of records and WA driver's license required prior to appointment. Open until filled.
